Celebrate Labor Day Weekend with Flowers

Labor Day marks the end of summer for many, so the weekend is typically filled with last minute beach trips, BBQs, and time with friends and family. It’s busy and relaxing at the same time! If you didn’t know, Labor Day was the creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic advancements of American laborers, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. In other words, it’s all about honoring your efforts during the year and all the hard work you accomplished. While relaxing is one of the best ways to celebrate this weekend, here are a few ways you can celebrate Labor Day weekend with flowers and honor the special people in your life:

Thank Coworkers or Employees

Flowers are a great way to show appreciation for hard work, especially when they are sent as a surprise. If you want to put a smile on the face of a treasured co-worker who has made significant achievements or advancements this year, why not send them flowers for Labor Day? Most people will be out of the office on Monday but sending flowers the following week is a great way to brighten up the office and welcome your coworkers and employees back after the long weekend. You can also send a bouquet to someone you know you has to work on Monday. While everyone else has off, that is the perfect way to make them smile even though they are hard at work.

Celebrate the Group

If you’re throwing a party, ordering Labor Day flowers can provide some sweet-smelling decorations. A couple of nice centerpieces can be added to your picnic tables, or side tables in your home. You can even send home a couple of your guests with the flowers as “thank you” gifts for their hard work and their attendance. To make this a truly collaborative event, turn the gathering into a potluck, and ask everyone to bring something with them. Labor Day flowers can also complement a beach picnic as a gift for the host, or to brighten up the blanket. You might also want to put guests’ names in a “hat” and pick one name to take home the arrangement.

Surprise loved ones

As many people move about the country, away from family, even Labor Day can be a time where we miss loved ones. It would be a lovely idea to send flowers for Labor Day to a relative or dear friend who you have not seen in awhile. They will know that you’re thinking of them, and it might prompt a phone call catch-up session.

However you would like to celebrate Labor Day is your call, but flowers can certainly add a charming touch to any gathering, or brighten a favorite person’s day. Make sure you take time to relax on this holiday – and maybe even treat yourself to flowers or something else nice!
