Having flowers delivered to your loved one is always a good way to brighten their day. It’s also a a great way to decorate your home. However, people who have never ordered flowers online before may be hesitant because they’re unfamiliar with the process. Here are a few commonly asked questions about online flower delivery and why Teleflora is your best option to send flowers online:
Do I need to be home to accept a flower delivery?
If you’re having flowers delivered to your home, you have the option to decide what to do with your flowers if you’re not home to accept them. When you fill out out your order, pay attention to the “special instructions” section. Here, you can let your delivery driver know whether you’d like to pick your order up from the florist if you’re not home to accept it, or have it left with a neighbor. If you explicitly state that you’d like your delivery left on the porch, we will do so, but your flowers will never be left unattended otherwise. The weather or local animals can affect the state of your arrangement if it’s left outside for too long.
Can my flowers be delivered to a hospital?
Delivering flowers to a hospital room is a wonderful gesture and a great way to brighten the mood. When your arrangement is delivered, it’ll be left at the front desk and a hospital employee will bring it to your loved one’s room. Just state your loved one’s hospital and room number on the delivery order form. As long as your loved one isn’t in the intensive care unit or another area that doesn’t accept flower deliveries, he or she will receive it in no time! If your loved one cannot get flowers delivered to his or her unit or was discharged early, your delivery driver or florist will contact you for an alternative address to have the order delivered to. Can I have flowers delivered to another state?
Not only can you easily send flowers to another state, but in some cases you can even send them to another country! Since all flowers are delivered by local florists, as long as there is a florist in the area that is part of the Teleflora network you shouldn’t have a problem sending a flower arrangement. International orders, however, may include different flowers native to the area and the vase will not be an exclusive Teleflora brand container. Be sure to place any international orders at least 24 hours before you’d like them delivered.
